ENGLISH FESTIVAL 2015 - SMA - DEBATE

Debate Competition

A.    KETENTUAN UMUM 

1.   Peserta adalah Tim perwakilan  dari masing-masing SMA di wilayah Jabodetabek

2.   Pemenang lomba terdiri dari juara I dan II

3.   Setiap tim terdiri dari 3 siswa/siswiataucampuran.

4.   Data peserta dapat diserahkan  pada saat pelaksanaan technical meeting.

5.   Peserta yang tidak mengikuti technical meeting dianggap telah menyetujui semua keputusan pada saat technical meeting.

6.   Pada saat hari perlombaan, peserta/guru pendamping  harus melakukan regitrasi paling lambat30 menit sebelum lomba dimulai.Apabila peserta/guru pendamping tidak mendaftar ulang  setelah jam tersebut dianggap gugur.

7.   Peserta harus mentaati tata tertib  yang telah ditentukan panitia selama mengikuti lomba.

8.   Setiap peserta wajib saling menghormati dan  menjaga ketertiban sertakebersihandalam ruangan lomba.

B.    KETENTUAN LOMBA

1.   Panitia menggunakan aturan lomba debat model Australia-Asia

2.   Urutan tampil debat sesuai undian pada saat technical meeting dengan sistem gugur.

3.   Tim Affirmative/Negative ditentukan dengan undian

4.   Untuk babak penyisihan, motion diberitahukan sebelumnya, sedangkan untuk babak semifinal dan final; motion ditentukan oleh dewan juri dan atau panitia dan tidak diberitahukan sebelumnya.

5.   Peserta diperbolehkan membawa sumber data/rujukan yang diperlukan (kamus, buku referensi, Koran, majalah, printed materials dll)

6.   Peserta tidak diperbolehkan menggunakan Mobile Phone atau akses internet saat Case Building di babak penyisihan. Sedangkan untuk babak semi final dan final diperbolehkan.

7.   Untuk babak penyisihan, masing-masing tim diberi waktu 10 menit untuk Case building. Sedangkan untuk babak semi final dan final, masing-masing tim diber iwaktu 15 menit untuk Case Building.

8.   Dalam  babak penyisihan, setiap Substantive Speech diberi waktu 7 menit dan Reply Speech 5 menit.

9.   Tanda waktu berpidato adalah ketukan pertama untuk memulai, dua kali ketukan untuk tanda waktu masih 1 menit dan ketukan terus menerus untuk menunjukkan bahwa waktu telah selesai.

10. POI (Point of Information)/interupsi hanya diberikan selama tidak lebih dari 30 detik.

11. Keputusan Juri tidak bisa  diganggu gugat.

12. Jika terdapat hal-hal yang belum diatur dalam tata tertib umum ini, akan diatur panitia kemudian.

C.  MOTIONS DEBAT UNTUK  BABAK PENYISIHAN

    Ralat bahwa 20 motions sebelumnya hanya usulan dari panitia kepada juri, dan berikut adalah       motions yang telah diputuskan oleh juri

1.   This House (TH) regrets the trends of personal life sharing on social media (i.e. personal activities on Path, Instagram, Facebook, etc)

2.   This House Believe That (TBHT)  high school students need sex education.

3.   This House Would (THW) legalize the sale of human organ

4.   This House Believe That (THBT)  Government  should legalize the gay marriage

5.   This House Would (THW) accept government policy for destroying foreign ships who commit illegal fishing

6.   This House Believe That (THBT) will block any internet sites which propagate radicalism and terrorism

7. That this house regrets the cutting of the BBM subsidy

8. This House Believe That (THBT) single sex school brings more good than harm

9. This House Believe That (THBT) memes do more harm than good

10. This House Believe That (THBT) foreign worker do not need to use national language to be a worker in the house

D.  TEAM SPLIT UNTUK MASING-MASING TIM

Third Speaker:  1. Rebut Opposition’s arguments, prioritizing the strong/important ones 2.  Rebuild the team’s case 3.  Summarize the issues of the debate Note : It is NOT advisable for 3rd Government to bring new arguments	Third  Speaker:  1. Rebut Government’s arguments, prioritizing the strong/important ones 2.  Rebuild the team’s case 3.  Summarize the issues of the debate Note : It is NOT advisable for 3rd opposition  to bring new arguments.

E.    kriteria penilaian

1.    Manner (eye contact, gesture, attitude, etc.) = 40%

2.    Method (sistematika, organisasi, structure)   = 20%

                    3. Matter ( content of argument)                         = 40%
